Type IXB U-Boat

This U-110 was one of the most important captures of the entire war. She was depth charged by the British and was forced to surface. Aboard was the top secret decoding machine called "Enigma" which enabled the Allied forces to decode the secret communications that were vital to the "Wolfpack" tactic of the German U-Boat forces.

Fate: Captured on 9 May, 1941 in the North Atlantic south of Iceland.
15 dead and 32 survivors.
